Bangtail Dog Rescue is a dog rescue located in McCleary, Montana, in Ravalli County, about 30 miles north of Missoula, MT. Two other animal shelters or rescues also operate in Ravalli County. The rescue takes its name from the mountain range in Montana where it first incorporated, and it has been finding homes for dogs since 2000. It works with all breeds but specializes in deaf dogs, especially herding breeds, and was founded by Jackie Loeser, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer who helps new owners work through training issues so dogs can stay in their adoptive homes for life.
