The Humane Society of St. Joseph County, Indiana, was established in 1886 and is one of the oldest service organizations in the state. It remains the largest animal care facility in the area, serving the greater St. Joseph County region and numerous municipalities. The adoption fees are as follows: unaltered cats are $60, altered cats are $80, and altered cats with a rabies vaccine are $90. For dogs, unaltered dogs are available for $80, altered dogs for $125, and altered dogs with a rabies vaccine for $135. Interested individuals must complete an application, which takes approximately 48 hours to process.
