Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Raleigh, North Carolina, about a mile southwest of the city in Wake County, where it shares the area with 18 other animal shelters and rescues. Founded to serve the community for over 25 years, NRGRR is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of golden retrievers, golden mixes, and golden-hearted dogs in need, while advocating responsible pet ownership and community education. The organization relies entirely on donations and foster homes to carry out its mission, and since adoption fees cover only about half the cost of caring for each dog, roughly 86% of donated funds go directly toward medical treatment for rescued goldens.
