Tender Care Animal Rescue in Vancouver, WA

T.C.A.R. is a non-profit, no-kill rescue organization based in Vancouver, WA. We offer temporary shelter and medical care for abandoned, abused, neglected, orphaned, and special needs animals until they are placed in loving permanent homes through our adoption program. Our mission is to decrease the number of adoptable animals euthanized in overcrowded shelters, and to assist those that are lost or abandoned. We aim to restore these animals to good health and find them permanent, loving homes through adoption. We achieve our mission by rescuing cats, dogs, rodents, birds, and some reptiles. We provide spay or neuter surgeries before adoption, rehabilitative medical care, vaccinations, flea and deworming treatments for the animals in our care, and low-cost microchips. Additionally, we supply food, medicines, and other necessities, offer community education, provide safe and loving foster homes, facilitate successful adoptions, and ensure that no adoptable animal in our care is euthanized.

Adoption process

The adoption fee varies based on the age, breed, and medical conditions of the animal. Prospective adopters are required to complete an adoption application. Following approval of the application and a home inspection, adopters must sign an adoption contract.
