About Milo

Milo has a beautiful heart. He is a healthy boy who has received regular vet care & grooming his whole life. He is used to sleeping in bed with us. He's a great sous chef & loves sampling all our (dog-appropriate) cooking. He does well with adults & just wants to be part of a human wolfpack. He needs to be an only dog. He grew up w/ a dog brother who sadly passed recently, but that was the only dog he truly accepted. He loves our new baby, but he's a bulldozer w/ no spatial awareness when he gets excited by passing cars or delivery folks. This is why I listed him as not good with children, though he's been around older children with no issues. He needs a firm hand on walks because he's reactive around other dogs. He needs slow introductions to men but quickly bonds once he gets to know them. He's the best road dog. He loves hide & seek and hot & cold. If you work from home, he'll happily curl up under your desk at your feet all day long. He has been loved deeply.

Why they're being rehomed

I have had Milo since he was 8 weeks old, and making this decision has been heartbreaking. He is a sweet, loving, incredibly loyal boy who has been a cherished member of our family. Unfortunately, that loyalty and protectiveness have led to reactivity that has become difficult to safely manage since welcoming our daughter. Milo barks at passing cars, visitors, and deliveries. When he gets excited, he becomes a bit of a bulldozer and loses spatial awareness in his rush to get to the door or window. He loves our baby and has never shown aggression toward her, but his size and excitement have created unsafe situations. As much as we love him, we have to put our 4-month-old daughter's safety first. Milo deserves a home where he can relax, get the attention he craves, and thrive in an environment better suited to his needs. He is truly a wonderful dog, and our goal is to find him the right home where he can be successful and loved. ❤️
