Adoption Process

Our adoption process begins with sending you an adoption application via email. Following this, we will conduct an initial phone interview. We will also gather three personal references, perform a veterinary check if applicable, and conduct a landlord check if necessary. After these steps, we will arrange a virtual home inspection. If your application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet within 24 to 48 hours. Provided that everything goes well during the meet and greet, the adoption can be finalized at that time. The adoption fee is $500.

Everyday Heroes Dog Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) foster-based dog rescue located in Waldwick, New Jersey. Our organization is led by a dedicated group of women who are passionate about animal advocacy. Each of our directors and board members has a connection to emergency services, whether through direct service in the community or as family members of those who serve. Our shared love for animals unites us in our mission. Established on September 11, 2018, Everyday Heroes Dog Rescue Inc. has successfully placed hundreds of dogs into loving forever homes since its inception. In addition to our rescue efforts, we strive to educate our community on the importance of spaying and neutering pets, the significance of socializing animals, and the necessity of maintaining monthly heartworm and flea and tick preventatives. As the Director of Operations, I oversee the daily functions of the rescue. My responsibilities include managing the dogs in foster care, coordinating adoption events, promoting our available dogs, responding to emails and phone calls, and supporting our adoption team in finding forever homes for our dogs.
