Life Is Golden, Golden Retriever Rescue, Inc. is a dedicated all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing and rehabilitating displaced, abandoned, and homeless Golden Retrievers and Golden mixes, regardless of their age or health status. The organization works to secure safe and loving homes through a thorough adoption program and offers lifetime sanctuary for Goldens that cannot be adopted. In addition to its rescue efforts, Life Is Golden provides education on proper animal care and highlights the importance of rescue and sanctuary. In the event of a disaster, the organization is committed to assisting other rescue groups and supporting the families of dogs affected by the situation.

Adoption process

The adoption process includes several steps. First, interested individuals must complete an adoption application. Following this, a home visit will be conducted, which may take place in person or virtually. There are adoption fees based on the age of the animal: for pets under one year, the fee is $500; for adults aged one to four years, the fee is $450; for adults aged four to eight years, the fee is $400; and for "Golden Oldies," those eight years and older, the fee is $350. Finally, an adoption contract will need to be signed to finalize the process.
