Adoption Process
To begin the adoption process, an application must be completed. After pre-approval, an appointment will be arranged for you to meet the pets. Once a selection is made, contracts must be signed, and copies of all relevant paperwork will be provided to the new family.

CARES (Community Animal Rescue & Educational shelter) in Brooksville, FL
CARES was officially established in September 2007. Following our involvement in search and rescue efforts in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina, we recognized the need to take further action. We primarily rescue pets from kill shelters, ensuring they receive veterinary care, spaying or neutering, microchipping, vaccinations, and deworming, along with plenty of love. We are committed to finding these pets their forever homes once they are fully prepared for adoption.
