Adoption process

Upon receiving your application, an adoption counselor will review it and reach out to you with any questions. Our team will verify personal and veterinary references, as well as contact your landlord if necessary. The adoption counselor will then arrange a time to speak with you and your family, or anyone else involved in the adoption process. This conversation is an excellent opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have. Once your application is approved, you will be introduced to the foster caregiver of the pets in process (PIPs) you are interested in. Please note that the entire process may take anywhere from a few days to over a week, so we appreciate your patience. If all goes well and both you and the foster caregiver agree that the PIP is a suitable match, we will proceed to finalize the adoption. Adoption fees are $325 for adult dogs and $375 for puppies. All dogs will be up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and will be spayed or neutered if they are old enough. If a dog is not old enough for this procedure, adopters can return to our veterinarian to have it done at no additional cost, provided it is completed by the time the dog reaches six months of age.
