Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is a cat rescue based in Sherwood, Oregon, located in Washington County, about 10 miles northeast of Portland. It is the largest nonprofit, adoption-guarantee cat shelter in the Pacific Northwest, offering adoption, foster care, and veterinary services to homeless cats and kittens, including a spay/neuter clinic and rehoming assistance. Its foster volunteers care for more than 1,000 cats and kittens each year, and adoption counselors work with prospective adopters to match them with a cat suited to their household. Adoption process
Prospective adopters can visit the Sherwood shelter in person during open hours (no appointment needed) to meet cats, or apply online for cats housed in foster homes; after an application/meet-and-greet, adopters complete an adoption counseling session, sign an adoption agreement, and pay the adoption fee to take the cat home.
