About this shelter

Golden Treasures Golden Retriever Rescue in Bath, OH

Golden Treasures Golden Retriever Rescue is based in Bath, Ohio, within Summit County, about 10 miles southeast of Akron, and is one of 17 animal shelters and rescues serving that county. The organization is dedicated to removing Golden Retrievers from unwanted, inappropriate, or shelter situations, and works to educate the public on responsible dog ownership, proper canine care, and the importance of obedience training as an alternative to euthanization. Many of the dogs it takes in are puppy mill survivors or owner surrenders, and the rescue relies heavily on foster homes—requiring a secure four-foot fence and, in many cases, another confident resident dog—to help each rescued Golden heal and find a permanent home.
