H.A.R.T. Homeless Animal Rescue Team of Maine is a no-kill, cat-only rescue and adoption center located in Cumberland, Maine, about 10 miles south of Portland. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, its mission is to provide refuge, comfort, and comprehensive medical attention to cats who have been surrendered, abandoned, injured, or abused, and to find them appropriate homes. The organization relies entirely on community donations and volunteer support, receiving no public funding, and offers adoption, fostering, and volunteer programs at its shelter on Range Road.
