It is a 501(c)3 non-profit farm animal sanctuary whose mission is to rescue neglected pigs, goats, sheep, llamas, donkeys, alpacas, emus, and farm birds that have been surrendered at local animal shelters, confiscated by humane agents and police, or saved from factory farms. These animals live out their lives with comfortable housing, nutritious food, and companionship from others of their own kind, cared for by founder Karen and the sanctuary's team. Hope Haven also serves as a resource for public awareness, offering small, guided tours and promoting a cruelty-free, plant-based lifestyle by showcasing the individuality and personalities of its animal residents.
