About this shelter

Ionia County Animal Shelter in Ionia, MI

Ionia County Animal Shelter is located at 3853 Sparrow Drive in Ionia, Michigan, about 30 miles west of Grand Rapids. Operating under the motto "saving lives, one paw at a time," the shelter cares for adoptable dogs and cats and encourages community members to volunteer their time and donate items like canned food, cat litter, cleaning supplies, and flea/tick treatments to support the animals in its care. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM and offers online adoption applications for both dogs and cats, along with a foster program for kittens. It also partners with organizations like BISSELL's "Partners for Pets" program to help raise additional funds for its operations.
