Capital Area Humane Society is a nonprofit animal shelter in Lansing, Michigan, located about 50 miles east of Flint. It receives no government funding and relies on community support to help animals in need, with a mission of "Creating Hope, Completing Families." The shelter offers adoption, surrender, and pet behavior support services, and operates an offsite spay/neuter clinic in addition to its main Lansing facility. It is open Monday through Friday from 12:00–7:00 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM–5:00 PM for adoptions.
