About this shelter
Maple Farm Sanctuary in Mendon, MA
Maple Farm Sanctuary is located at 101 North Avenue in Mendon, Massachusetts, about 9 miles south of Woonsocket, RI, and is open to visitors Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 to 3:30 PM. The sanctuary occupies a former third-generation dairy farm that was transformed into a home for rescued farm animals after a profound change of heart by its founders. It provides lifelong homes for abused, abandoned, and unwanted farmed animals while promoting veganism and respect for all life through public education. The organization's founding story is chronicled in the documentary "Peaceable Kingdom: The Journey Home."
