Milford Humane Society is an all-volunteer, non-profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to caring for stray and abandoned cats, first organized in September 1990 to address the growing number of homeless cats in the local community. Located in Worcester, Massachusetts, about 10 miles south of Woonsocket, RI, the shelter is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. The shelter maintains a Special Needs room for cats requiring extra care and offers an Adopt-a-Cage program for those who want a hands-on connection with the cats in its care.
