Cecil County Men's Shelter is located in Elkton, Maryland, about 7 miles northeast of Newark, DE, and is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Also known as Settlement House, it provides transitional housing for men experiencing homelessness, offering fifteen beds, six of which are reserved for veterans in partnership with the Veteran's Administration. The shelter is within walking distance of medical services, social services, and employment opportunities, and helps men work toward independence and self-sufficiency through referrals to medical and mental health providers, job search and education assistance, case management, and community meals and fellowship.
