About this shelter
FuRRR Feline Rescue in Rochester, NH
FuRRR Feline Rescue is a nonprofit, no-kill, volunteer-driven cat rescue in Rochester, New Hampshire, located about 2 miles north of the city in the Gonic area. Incorporated in 2015, FuRRR is a rescue rather than a shelter, taking in local surrenders and strays as well as at-risk kittens and cats from high-kill southern shelters through its southern rescue partners; it serves New Hampshire, southern Maine, and northeast Massachusetts. Since 2015 it has rescued more than 5,000 cats, providing a cage-free environment while relying on an all-volunteer staff and funding from public donations, sponsorships, and grants for medical care, food, and shelter. FuRRR operates an adoption program matching kittens, adults, and senior cats with adopters, along with foster and volunteer opportunities.
