Western Illinois Animal Rescue is a rescue organization located in Monmouth, Illinois, about 40 miles north of Davenport, Iowa. Founded in 2000 by a group of caring citizens who wanted to help animals in need, WIAR operates as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and follows a "no kill" philosophy, finding homes for cats and dogs in need. The shelter also runs a TNR (trap-neuter-return) program to support community cats. It is open Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with additional hours available by appointment.
