Freedom Ride Animal Rescue in Monmouth, IL
Freedom Ride Animal Rescue is a rescue organization based in Monmouth, Illinois, about 40 miles north of Davenport, Iowa. Founded in July 2022 by Phil Cooper and Brandy Woehler, it operates as a 501(c)(3), foster-based animal transport rescue with no physical shelter building, providing free transportation of dogs and cats from traditional shelters and breeder releases to no-kill rescues in the surrounding area, along with overnight and temporary foster care while animals await placement. The organization also hosts free microchip clinics and, between June 2022 and June 2025, helped save 535 dogs and cats while driving over 35,000 miles. 100% of donations received go directly toward the vetting and transportation of animals in need.
