Rock n' Rescue in South Salem, NY
Our mission is to rescue and rehome pets in need. We primarily focus on helping families find pets that are not only happy and healthy but also serve as therapeutic companions for emotional and physical challenges. While we specialize in cats, we also offer personalized searches for dogs, guinea pigs, and other pets for approved adopters. The foundation of our rescue is encapsulated in our motto, "We Rescue Pets to Rescue People." We are dedicated to promoting this message through our various community outreach initiatives, which include cat therapy programs for all ages, such as our nursing home Kitty Clubs, cat wellness activities like Kitty Yoga classes, and educational programs such as Read to Kitty classes, among others.

Adoption process
To begin the adoption process, you will need to complete an application on our website. Once your application is approved, you can choose an animal and place it on hold by signing an adoption agreement. Following this, you will have the opportunity to meet your chosen animal. If you feel that it is a good match, the adoption will be finalized. The adoption donation varies, with amounts ranging from $0 for therapy animals to $800 for certain dogs.
