Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (R.O.A.R.) is a rescue organization based in Ridgefield, Connecticut, in Fairfield County, roughly 15 miles south of Norwalk, CT, and shares the county with 36 other area shelters and rescues. For over 25 years, R.O.A.R. has served as a lifeline for scared, abandoned, and hurt cats and dogs, helping more than 6,000 animals find love, safety, and family. The organization operates out of the Donofrio Family Animal Shelter at 45 South Street and offers adoption, foster, and community support programs, including a pet pantry, therapy dog program, and services for seniors and veterans through Pets for Patriots.
