Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with the completion of an adoption application. We will then process the application, which includes checking references and contacting your landlord if necessary. Following this, we conduct an interview and, if applicable, a home inspection. After these steps, you will have a meet and greet with the pet. Finally, we will make a decision regarding the adoption, and if approved, you will be able to take your new family member home.

Service Areas

We serve the Pacific Northwest region, including Canada, as well as the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California.

Collar of Hope in Olalla, WA

Collar of Hope is an all-volunteer animal rescue organization focused primarily on dogs. We operate as a foster home-based rescue and do not have a physical facility for visits. The only opportunity to meet our animals without submitting an adoption application is at adoption events where we showcase some of our available pets. Our mission is to assist homeless animals in finding permanent, loving homes where they can be cherished as family members. We do not discriminate based on size, age, or breed; our goal is to help as many adoptable cats and dogs as possible, believing they all deserve a chance at a happy life. Please note that we are not trainers, behaviorists, or veterinarians. We provide essential health care, grooming, and a safe environment for the animals in our care until we find a suitable match for them. Since 99% of our dogs come from shelters as strays, we often do not have any background information. We strive to learn as much as possible about each animal while they are in their foster home.
