Saving Pets One at a Time in Burlington, WA
About SPOT In the fall of 1999, a group of animal enthusiasts came together to establish Saving Pets One at a Time (SPOT), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing alternative animal rescue and placement options in Skagit County and beyond. SPOT aims to increase the number of companion animals that find loving and permanent homes. The organization also seeks to decrease the population of homeless pets by ensuring that all animals in its care are spayed or neutered. While in foster care, each pet receives individualized daily care and attention. The organization focuses on training and socialization to help pets reach their full potential. Animals are not placed for adoption until they are deemed emotionally and physically ready for a permanent home.
