SGDR is a foster-based rescue organization based in Thompsons Station, TN, dedicated to supporting senior animals, those with special needs, and cases requiring extensive medical care. Our mission is to reduce the number of euthanasias in local shelters by providing a safe haven for seniors and animals with medical needs that are often deemed unadoptable in traditional shelter settings. We are committed to this cause because we believe it is the right thing to do.

The adoption process includes several steps: submitting an application, conducting a home visit, participating in a meet and greet, signing a contract, and paying an adoption fee of $185. For senior animals and those with special needs, the fee is reduced to a $50 donation, as they are often sponsored.
