Adoption Process

The adoption costs include up-to-date vaccinations, shots, and spaying or neutering. The fees vary by dog, but the majority are approximately $95. Adoption Policies 1. All adopted pets must be kept in a fenced area, on a leash, or on a cable tie. 2. Adopted pets are required to have an annual veterinary check-up and must receive heartworm medication each year. 3. If the pet has not been spayed or neutered prior to adoption, you are responsible for arranging this procedure. 4. You must schedule a veterinary check-up for your dog within 48 hours of adoption and have a stool sample analyzed. 5. You must be at least 21 years old and demonstrate responsibility to adopt. 6. If you find that you can no longer keep your adopted pet, you are required to return them to Pet Savers. 7. Renters must provide a copy of their lease before adopting. 8. No dogs will be permitted to leave the shelter without being on a leash and wearing a collar.
