Adoption Process

The adoption process includes submitting an adoption application, followed by a review and confirmation of the provided information. Once approved, an adoption contract must be signed. There is a fee of $100 for kittens under four months of age and a fee of $85 for those over four months.

Our primary service area is Brevard County, although we have also conducted rescues in Orange and St. Lucie counties.

You had Me at MEOW, Inc. is a non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to rescuing homeless cats and kittens in Brevard County and surrounding areas. Our mission is to save cats and kittens from shelters where they face the risk of euthanasia, including pets surrendered by their owners and those in situations of abuse or neglect. We advocate for these animals who cannot advocate for themselves, ensuring they have the opportunity for a fulfilling life and the happiness they deserve. All cats and kittens in our care are spayed or neutered before being placed in their forever homes. We prioritize finding loving, responsible, and committed homes for our animals. Our adoption process includes an application, veterinary and personal references, a home visit, and a waiver from renters confirming that pets are allowed. We do not operate on a first-come, first-served basis; instead, we carefully match each cat or kitten with adopters who we believe will provide the best fit. Our goal is to foster a loving relationship between the animal and their new owner.
