Adoption Process

Our adoption process begins with the submission of an application. Once the application is approved, a home check will be conducted, and a meet-and-greet with the animal you wish to adopt will be arranged. If everything proceeds positively, you will sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.

Service Areas

We operate primarily in Florida and do not facilitate adoptions outside the state. Most of our foster homes, along with our organization, are located in central Florida.

Island Dog International Dog Rescue Corporation in Groveland, FL

Island Dog is dedicated to rescuing dogs and other pets both locally and in Freeport, Bahamas. Each animal is placed in a home environment, which allows us to observe their behavior and better match them with potential adopters. We provide comprehensive veterinary care and include obedience training in Groveland. We also invite our adopters to participate in all our events. Additionally, some dogs are available for a foster-to-adopt program, and we extend our rescue efforts to include wildlife.
