Adoption Process

The adoption fee is $350 for individual pets and $500 for bonded pairs. This fee contributes to covering the costs of the pet's examinations, de-worming, preventive care, microchipping, and spaying or neutering. To begin the adoption process, applicants must complete and submit an application. If we determine that the applicant may be a suitable match for the specific dog they are interested in, we will proceed with a thorough vetting of the application. Once this is completed satisfactorily, we will schedule a home visit. Following a successful home visit, we will conduct a phone interview. If everything continues to progress well, we will arrange a meet and greet. If this meeting is successful, the approved adopter will then pay the adoption fee and finalize the adoption of the dog.

Paw Patrol Animal Rescue and Sanctuary in Miami, FL

Paw Patrol is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization. My name is Annie Lopez Garay, and I am the Vice President and co-founder of this organization. Alongside my rescue partner, Cristy Torres, I am actively involved in all aspects of our daily operations. Our responsibilities include networking for donations, recruiting foster homes, facilitating adoptions, and organizing events. We also review and approve all foster and adoption applications and conduct interviews with potential adopters. Additionally, we manage transportation for animals to and from veterinary appointments, as well as to foster homes and adopters. We maintain regular communication with our foster homes and veterinarians regarding the pets under our care. Both Cristy and I are passionate animal lovers and have numerous pets of our own. We are deeply committed to addressing the crisis of abandoned animals, particularly in South Florida. Following Hurricane Harvey, we organized a significant donation drive to assist those in need in Texas and later supported communities in Florida and the Caribbean after Hurricane Maria. Our mission is to advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves. To date, we have successfully adopted out hundreds of animals and have assisted many more by collaborating with other rescues and advocates.
