Adoption Process
Our adoption process begins with the submission of an application available on our website. We verify home ownership, contact landlords, veterinarians, and references. Additionally, we ensure that any existing pets in the household are vaccinated and spayed or neutered.

Brookes Legacy Animal Rescue Inc. in Naples, FL
Brooke Ashley Miller is the inspiration behind Brooke's Legacy Animal Rescue Team. Throughout her life, she gave selflessly, and we aim to honor her memory by giving back. Brooke did not receive a second chance at life, and our mission focuses on providing second chances to pets that we rescue from kill shelters, many of whom were on the verge of euthanasia when we intervened. Brooke's Legacy Animal Rescue is dedicated to finding loving, committed families for these wonderful animals. On her 18th birthday, Brooke was driving to her grandparents' house for a celebration when she was involved in a tragic accident that resulted in her and her seven-week-old puppy, Mia, being ejected from her truck. Mia fully recovered from her injuries, while Brooke was transported to a Florida trauma center due to severe head trauma. She underwent two emergency brain surgeries but, after seven days in a coma, she sadly passed away. Brooke lived life to the fullest, always finding the good in everything and everyone. She had a deep passion for animals and enjoyed nine years of barrel racing with her beloved Quarter Horse, Red Dawn. She was actively involved in The Happy Trails 4-H Club, worked at Pat's Kids, and served as a hostess at Applebee's, in addition to working at her mother’s grooming shop, Groomingdale's of Naples. By the age of 16, Brooke was attending Edison Community College. Brooke is survived by her two younger brothers, Mason and Colton, and her younger sister, Cheyenne, all of whom share her love for animals. She will always be remembered for her zest for life, her affection for children, and her compassion for animals. Brooke remains in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
