Adoption Process
All applicants must submit a completed adoption application. We process applications on a first-come, first-served basis. The application requires standard information, including two non-related personal references, a veterinary reference if available, and a home visit. If you are a renter, we will also need your landlord's information to confirm that you are permitted to keep a Boxer. Previous experience with the breed is advantageous but not mandatory. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and financially capable of providing proper care for a pet, which includes annual check-ups, vaccinations, and monthly heartworm prevention. An adoption contract is required. If you can no longer care for your adopted pet, you must return it to the rescue. Our adoption fee is $275, which covers spaying or neutering, heartworm testing, and monthly prevention.

Go Boxer Rescue in Dayton, OH
We are a group of individuals and families, some of whom are Boxer owners, united by our commitment to rescuing Boxers in need and promoting responsible pet ownership. Our motivation stems from a deep love for this exceptional breed. Our greatest reward comes from successfully placing animals in loving forever homes. Prior to adoption, our dedicated volunteers foster each animal in their own homes for a minimum of seven days, although some may stay longer depending on when the foster family believes the animal is ready for its new life.
