Adoption Process

The adoption process includes submitting an adoption application and signing an adoption contract. The fees are $110 for dogs and $90 for cats. We will confirm whether the applicant owns or rents their residence and if they are permitted to have pets. Additionally, we will assess the living conditions and arrange a meet and greet with any existing pets. It is also required to verify that all current pets are up to date on their rabies vaccinations.

We are responsible for animal control and the management of our animal shelter and its grounds. Our duties include enforcing relevant laws and facilitating pet adoptions for the public. As a county-operated facility, we accept both stray animals and owner surrenders without charging surrender fees. Additionally, we respond to service calls to assist the community with various animal-related issues.
