Adoption Process
There is a fee of $50 for the adoption of most cats and kittens. Adopters are required to sign a contract agreeing to return the animal to FHFR if the adoption does not work out.

Our mission is threefold: to ensure that every cat in need finds a permanent home, to serve as a sanctuary where cats can experience a second chance at life in a no-cage, no-kill environment, and to spearhead the initiative to transform Central Illinois into a no-kill community by eliminating euthanasia as a means of managing feline populations.
