Adoption Process

The adoption process includes submitting an application and undergoing a screening, which involves checking references from landlords (if applicable) and veterinarians. Adoption fees range from $125 to $250. The adopter must sign a return agreement, which stipulates that the animal must be returned to our organization if the adopter can no longer care for it for any reason. Additionally, the adoption agreement requires the adopter to maintain the adopted pet's vaccinations up to date. All pets are spayed or neutered and fully vetted prior to leaving our organization.

Partners For Pets is a dedicated organization that actively visits high-kill animal control facilities to rescue dogs and cats facing euthanasia. Our primary focus is on frail, sick, elderly, and injured animals that have minimal prospects for adoption. We operate with a small shelter and a team of five part-time paid employees, supported by a committed group of volunteers. Our adoption numbers surpass those of larger rescue groups in the region, with over 1,000 successful adoptions annually and a very low return rate.
