Adoption Process

The adoption fee is $250, which covers spaying or neutering, all vaccinations, microchipping, a veterinary examination, and shelter care insurance. We are dedicated to ensuring a suitable match between adopters and their new pets. Prospective adopters are required to complete a formal written application, participate in a verbal interview, and meet with all household members. A formal contract is also necessary. We conduct a follow-up after 30 days to verify that all puppies have been spayed or neutered, in accordance with our shelter regulations and Illinois law. Our commitment to our dogs is lifelong; therefore, if an adoptive family can no longer care for a dog, it must be returned to the shelter.
