DuPage County Animal Control (DuPage County Animal Services) is located at 2255 Manchester Road in Wheaton, Illinois, about 8 miles south of Naperville, and is the only public animal shelter in DuPage County. It cares for animals that are lost, homeless, hurt, sick, or abandoned, offering safe housing, veterinary care, lost-pet reunification, adoption services, and community education on responsible pet ownership, while also responding to animal emergencies and enforcing pet laws in unincorporated DuPage County. The shelter is open Monday and Thursday from 12:00PM-6:30PM, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00AM-4:00PM, and Saturday from 10:30AM-2:30PM. It recently completed a new shelter building to replace its old, undersized facility, and it operates alongside 17 other animal shelters and rescues located throughout DuPage County.
