Adoption Process

To begin the adoption process, potential adopters must complete a screening application, which incurs a fee of $5.00. If the applicant is approved, an additional fee of $10.00 per rat will be charged. Applicants must demonstrate either prior experience in caring for rats or have adequately researched proper rat care and be prepared to do so. We do not allow adoptions to individuals with a history of animal abuse. We reserve the right to reassess our decision upon meeting the adopter and observing their interaction with the rats. If we choose not to proceed with the adoption, all fees will be refunded.
