Adoption Process

The adoption fees are $95 for kittens and $85 for adult cats. Our application process does not operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, we evaluate applications and approve adopters based on the best fit for each cat. Prior to approval, we conduct thorough checks, including veterinary verification, landlord and property tax searches, as well as online searches on platforms such as Google and Facebook. All of our cats are spayed or neutered and fully vetted before adoption.

SCCCP was established to enhance the lives of local community cats without owners through trap-neuter-return (TNR), education, and advocacy for humane population control and the significance of spaying and neutering. Our organization is located in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. We are committed to alleviating the suffering of cats and kittens by humanely reducing the homeless cat population. Our work is primarily supported by donations, and fundraising is crucial to the success of our program. We operate as a volunteer-based organization.
