Richardson Rescue, based in York, South Carolina, is a non-profit animal adoption agency committed to protecting animal welfare. Our mission is to find permanent homes for every pet that arrives at our facility. In addition to facilitating adoptions, we focus on educating pet owners about responsible care, preventing neglect and abuse, and offering a low-cost spay/neuter program for those in need. Richardson Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization funded by public contributions.

Adoption process
All prospective adopters are required to complete an adoption application. This allows us to verify veterinary references, confirm the spaying or neutering of current pets, and gather personal references. Additionally, we conduct an interview process to ensure that each animal is placed in a suitable environment. The adoption contract, which is signed by the adoptive parent and a witness, stipulates that chaining or declawing of the animal is prohibited and that all medical needs and preventive care requirements will be fulfilled.
