Adoption Process

The adoption process for ONCR dogs is as follows: First, your application will be received and reviewed, which typically takes about 3 to 5 days. Next, we will conduct reference checks, and we encourage you to inform your references to respond to our calls or emails as soon as possible; this step usually takes around 2 to 3 days. Following this, a home visit will be scheduled to meet your family and assess the living environment for the dog; the timing for this visit can vary between 2 to 10 days, depending on your location. You will also have the opportunity for a meet and greet with the dog, which can often occur during the home visit. All adoptions begin with a two-week trial period. Please note that the adoption fee check will not be cashed until the trial period concludes. Once the trial is successfully completed, the adoption will be finalized, and we look forward to sharing happy moments with you and your new pet. All dogs are fully vetted, including spaying or neutering, vaccinations, deworming, heartworm testing, and they are on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Additionally, all dogs are microchipped. Our dogs reside in foster homes after being rescued from shelters or surrendered to our organization.
