Adoption Process

All adopters must be at least 21 years old. Applicants who are 18 years or older may be considered on a case-by-case basis. To begin the adoption process, all applicants are required to submit an application for review, which can take up to 7 to 14 days to process. Once a preliminary application is approved, a home visit is necessary to complete the adoption process. Upon finalizing the adoption, all adopters must sign a legal and binding contract. The adoption fee for cats and kittens is $105 for one and $190 for two. This fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, and treatment for fleas and worms. For dogs and puppies, the adoption fee is $185, depending on age and medical condition. The fee for adopting two dogs or puppies is $330. This fee covers a veterinary exam, spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, flea prevention, worm treatment, and a heartworm test.

As a new rescue, we have applied for nonprofit status in North Carolina and plan to submit our federal paperwork in the coming months. Our primary focus is rescuing animals from high-kill shelters in North Carolina and neighboring states, and occasionally from even further away. Despite being a new rescue, our team has over 30 years of combined experience in animal-related fields.
