Best Friend Pet Adoption in Cary, NC
Best Friend Pet Adoption (BFPA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal shelter based in Cary, North Carolina, in Wake County — about 10 miles east of Raleigh — where it operates alongside 18 other animal shelters and rescues in the county. Founded in 1998, BFPA is an all-breed, all-foster dog and cat rescue with no physical shelter facility, relying entirely on volunteers and foster homes to care for the animals it rescues in the Triangle area. Adoption fees are $350 for dogs, $375 for puppies, and $150 for cats, and dogs remain part of the "BFPA family" for life, as do their adopters. The organization is run entirely by volunteers, including professionals, college students, and community members, and depends on donations to house, feed, and care for rescued animals until they find their forever homes.
