The Humane Society of Meeker & Kandiyohi Counties (HSKMC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to assisting abused, neglected, abandoned, and stray animals. Additionally, HSKMC focuses on educating the public about proper animal care and promoting the spaying and neutering of companion animals.

Adoption process

The adoption form must be completed on-site; online submissions are not accepted. No appointments are necessary. A rental agreement is required, and the minimum age for adopters is 18 years. Adoption fees for dogs are as follows: puppies aged 0 to 6 months are $350, dogs aged 7 to 12 months are $250, dogs aged 1 to 7 years are $225, and dogs aged 8 years and older are $100. For cats, the fees are as follows: kittens aged 0 to 6 months are $100, cats aged 7 to 12 months are $60, cats aged 1 to 8 years are $40, and cats aged 9 years and older have a "name your price" option. Please note that taxes are not included in the listed prices.
