Mid-Atlantic Jack Rescue, Inc. (MAJR) is a rescue organization based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, located in Allegheny County about 2 miles northwest of the city, an area that is also home to 14 other animal shelters and rescues. It is open daily from 9:00AM to 6:00PM, Monday through Sunday. MAJR is a foster-based rescue dedicated to Jack Russell Terriers and JRT mixes, with a mission to help these dogs find permanent, loving homes regardless of age or disability. Its volunteers, spread across Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Delaware, place every dog in a foster home to be loved, socialized, and rehabilitated as needed, while the organization also works to educate the public about the breed and assist owners facing difficulties with their own dogs.
