Brooke's Legacy Animal Rescue is a nonprofit animal rescue based in Naples, Florida, in Collier County, about 100 miles east of Fort Lauderdale, where six other shelters or rescues also operate. The organization was founded in memory of Brooke Ashley Miller and is dedicated to giving rescued dogs, cats, and guinea pigs a second chance at life by placing them with committed, loving families, including animals who were facing euthanasia before being saved. It relies on donations to cover litter, food, medical expenses, and other costs of caring for its animals. The rescue is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and closed on weekends.

Adoption process

You must complete a full application, undergo home ownership/rental verification, vet and reference checks, and a "do not adopt" list check, then meet in person with the rescue and the pet in Lee or Collier County to finalize adoption; pets are not held or shipped.
