Alabama Animal Adoption Society in Birmingham, AL
The Alabama Animal Adoption Society is an animal shelter in Birmingham, Alabama, located in Jefferson County, where 15 other animal shelters and rescues also operate. Situated about 3 miles north of Birmingham, the organization operates its adoption center at 2808 Crescent Ave. in Homewood, open to the public on Saturdays from 12:00 to 4:30 pm. The society finds homes for cats and dogs, believing that every pet deserves a second chance and that adoption is about finding the right match rather than a perfect pet. Beyond adoptions, it offers low-cost spay/neuter certificates, works with participating veterinarians, and relies on volunteers and foster homes to help more animals find loving homes.
