Formerly based in Elkridge, Maryland, the organization is now located in Gerrardstown, West Virginia, in Berkeley County, roughly 30 miles northeast of Hagerstown, MD, and works with a network of adoption representatives spread across the region. Seven other animal shelters and rescues are also located in Berkeley County. The group encourages responsible, caring individuals to consider adopting one of these retired hounds, and it hosts community events like an annual picnic and fundraiser to support its adoption efforts.
