Southern Paws Virginia Animal Rescue in Winchester, VA
Our organization is primarily composed of volunteers based in Frederick County, Virginia. We accept homeless pets from various sources, including owner surrenders, strays, and shelters both in and out of state. Our mission is to provide these animals with necessary veterinary care, rehabilitation, and to find them suitable, loving homes. We are passionate about supporting our community and the animals within it. Additionally, we focus on educating pet owners about the importance of spaying and neutering, as well as ensuring proper vaccinations and preventative care to maintain their pets' health.

Adoption process
The adoption process begins with the submission of an application. A volunteer will review the application and contact the applicant to ask any additional questions. The volunteer will also reach out to the applicant's landlord and veterinarian for references. Following this, a home check will be conducted, either in person or virtually. Once the home check is complete, a meet and greet will be scheduled. Finally, the adoption will be finalized by signing a contract, and the adoption fee will be determined based on the type of pet being adopted.
