Since 1979, RAL has worked with area shelters to provide temporary housing, medical treatment, vaccinations, and spay/neuter care to tens of thousands of dogs and cats before they're adopted into new homes. The organization is committed to giving hope, help, and loving homes to animals in need, with a vision that all cats and dogs live in loving homes with access to the support they need to thrive. Beyond adoptions, RAL operates an on-site spay/neuter clinic serving shelter partners, community cat programs, and the public, and runs a Pet Pantry to help keep pets with their families.

Adoption process

Visit the adoption center in person during walk-in hours to meet available pets and speak with an adoption team member (adoptions are handled in order of arrival, no holds); for pets in foster care, applicants must submit an online adoption questionnaire, followed by a virtual meet and greet with the foster parent, then an adoption appointment at the shelter.
